Esther Cowens besuchte eine High School für darstellende Künste in San Francisco, bevor sie ihr Studium an der University of Arts in Philadelphia mit Auszeichnung abschloss. Sie absolvierte ein umfangreiches Studium in modernem Tanz, Ballett, Jazz, Choreografie, Schauspiel, Klavier und Gesang. Insgesamt 6 Jahre lang studierte sie bei Milton Myers, dem wohl berühmtesten Lehrer der Horton-Technik und bei Pat Thomas, einem Master-Teacher für die Graham-Technik.
Als Choreografin und Tänzerin arbeitete sie u.a. in Spanien und Taiwan und war Teil der Eröffnungsbesetzung von König der Löwen in Hamburg.
Seit Ende des Jahrtausends lebt sie in Deutschland, nahm zehn Jahre lang Gesangsunterricht bei Jonathan Kinsler und sang jahrelang Background für Jan Delay.
Esther unterrichtet Graham- und Horton-Technik und modernes Repertoire in Berlin und Hamburg.
Esther went to a performing arts high school in San Francisco before graduating with honors from the University of Arts in Philadelphia with extensive studies in modern dance, ballet, jazz, choreography, acting, piano and voice. For a total of 6 years she studied with Milton Myers, probably the most famous teacher of Horton technique and with Pat Thomas, a master teacher of the Graham technique..
As a choreographer and dancer, she has worked in Spain and Taiwan, among other places and she was part of the opening cast of The Lion King in Hamburg.
She has lived in Germany since the end of the millennium, took voice lessons with Jonathan Kinsler for ten years, and sang background for Jan Delay for years.
Esther teaches Graham- and Horton technique and modern repertory in Berlin and Hamburg.
